Matthew Borland

Matt is passionate about rehabilitation, and has found a particular interest in providing therapeutic care to persons with disabilities. Matt utilises a range of treatment techniques orientated towards improving patient quality of life.

Such include hands on manual therapy to provide pain relief, impairment and function-based rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, and exercise-based rehabilitation. 

Matt commonly works with a diverse patient population, with patient ages ranging from 6 months old to over 90 years of age. Matt has experience in treating various neurological, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal conditions:

  • multiple systems atrophy (MSA)

  • autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

  • multiple sclerosis (MS)

  • reactive airway disease (RAD)

  • lumbar disc bulge

In Matt’s spare time, he enjoys being active on the footy field or basketball court, spending time with friends and family, or relaxing at home watching TV series and movies.

Chris Gurr

Chris has a patient centred approach and a passion for getting the best out of someone. He loves to chat and enjoys getting to know his patients personally.

Chris enjoys a sense of community and works as the high performance manager for Box Hill United Soccer Club where he manages athletic performance across both the women and men's senior teams. He has previously spent time working as a Sports Physiotherapist for Hockey Victoria and is currently the Physiotherapist for the Australian mixed Ultimate Frisbee team. He recently returned from the Nitro World games where he was providing Physiotherapy and medical services for athletes competing in BMX, motorcross, scooter and skateboarding events.

You can find Chris socializing with his friends, enjoying the beach or sporting activities. He enjoys travelling loves to meet new people.

Emily Irvine

Physiotherapist

Therapist for Melbourne

Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from Monash university in 2020. She completed her thesis looking at the role of strengthening exercises on chronic neck pain.  

Currently, Emily holds a physiotherapist role with St Kilda Football Club AFLW, having worked with the club since 2019. Emily has gained considerable experience working in both elite and local sport. This includes the Australian Under 20 ultimate frisbee team, U18 Victorian Hockey team, U20 Victorian men’s Netball team and a multitude of local AFL and soccer sides. She has previously completed the Melbourne Victory physiotherapy internship program and has worked with Brisbane Lions AFL & AFLW in a trainer capacity.

Emily believes in a holistic and multifaceted approach to rehabilitation and utilizes a wide range of manual therapy and exercise prescription to facilitate return to function.

Micky graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Physiology in 2018.

 

Micky is passionate about taking a holistic approach to participant care and focuses on each participant’s goals to guide treatment through exercise and hands-on techniques. 

 

Micky enjoys working with a wide range of participants and has experience in the community, aged care, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. 

 

On days off work, Micky enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Kelly graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015 and has worked with a variety of clients in the aged care and community setting. Kelly is passionate about providing a holistic approach to her practice and enjoys interacting with her clients to understand their goals and motivations. 

 

Kelly offers hands-on therapy to manage various conditions and has experience in dry needling and chronic pain management. Kelly is also passionate about developing strategies to help her clients achieve their goals and to optimise function. 

 

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys running and is an avid golfer. She is also a novice beekeeper and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Ed graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2020. 

 

Ed grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, and has a keen interest in a wide range of conditions, with a particular interest in diagnostic injuries and hydrotherapy.

 

Ed has experience working with a wide range of patients, and has extensive experience in private practice, community and hospital based settings.

 

On his days off, Ed enjoys walking his dogs on the beach. He is also a novice marathon runner, and loves backing in his beloved footy club, Essendon.

Daniel Hunter

Dan is a dedicated exercise physiologist with a strong passion for optimising human performance, and improving overall health and well-being. Since graduating Southern Cross University in 2021, Dan has successfully helped numerous patients achieve their fitness goals through individualised programming, and providing personalised health guidance. 

 

Additionally, Dan brings additional expertise as a strength and conditioning coach, enabling him to effectively enhance performance, prevent injuries, and improve quality of life.


Dan's deep understanding of exercise physiology, coupled with his ability to motivate and educate patients has allowed him to create an empowering and supportive environment, ensuring patients reach their full potential through their health journeys.

 

In his time off, Dan enjoys training in the gym, catching up for coffee with friends, and relaxing on the couch at home.
